salvage (vb) - To rescue or save from destruction.
As in: We salvage our selvage.
New-to-me is the new new. Our fabrics are sourced from liquidators, second-hand stores, and close-outs. That’s why you might find an occasional scuff or smudge. Think of it as built-in character.
The philosophy goes well beyond just the fabrics; thread, webbing, and other materials are given a fresh life in a workshop that could pass muster as a museum. It's almost a matter of pride that our newest sewing machine was built back when disco balls were all the rage.
That doesn't mean we make wimpy stuff. We've learned a few things about durability at our outdoor R&D center on Seven Devils Road outside of Coos Bay, Oregon. That's why we use sturdy fabrics, stout webbing, and heavy thread on everything we make.
We think the Devils would approve. All Seven of ‘em.
